Get Started - It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3

Provisional License - You need to be 17 to learn to drive and have a valid provisional license. Prior to starting lessons you may apply for your provisional up to 3 months before your 17th birthday, you can apply online at www.direct.gov.uk or complete a D1 form from the Post Office.
Theory Test – Before you can take your practical test you need to pass a theory test (you can book online at www.direct.gov.uk). You can get help with your Theory Test via the DSA Twitter and Facebook sites.
Practical Test – You will be able to sit your practice test once have received enough lessons to be a safe driver.

On the day of the test you will:
- need to undertake an eye sight test
- bring along two parts of your driving license and theory pass certificate (if you have the old style license you will need to bring along photo ID e.g. passport
