Terms & Conditions
For driving tuition given by a Drivesafe School of Motoring Instructor or franchised instructor (the Instructor), it is hereby agreed that:

The Instructor will provide driving instruction for the pupil at the agreed rates and times. The cost of driving lessons will have been clearly explained upon first contact with Drivesafe School of Motoring and again at the beginning of the first lesson.

All Drivesafe School of Motoring Driving Instructors will behave in a professional manner towards clients at all times. The instructor will avoid physical contact with a client except in an emergency or in the normal course of greeting. Whilst reserving the right to decide against giving tuition, the instructor will not act in any manner which contravenes legislation on discrimination or the Driving Standards Agency (D.S.A.) Code of Practice for Approved Driving Instructors.
Driving Licenses & Fitness to Drive

You must hold a current, valid driving license, provisional, full or international, and produce it on (or in advance of) your first training session. You must be fit to drive with regard to legal and medical requirements. The pupil will ensure that they hold the appropriate valid license to drive the tuition vehicle.

Any pupil may be refused a driving lesson if the Instructor has reason to believe that the pupil is under the influence of alcohol or drugs and the lesson will still be charged for at the full amount.

Pupils must advise their instructor of any medication or prescription drugs they are taking that may affect their ability to drive safely before taking any lesson booked.

If a pupil is required to wear glasses or contact lenses whilst driving and he/she fails to wear them on a driving lesson, then the lesson will be cancelled with full charge to the pupil or parents.

The instructor will check a client’s entitlement to drive the vehicle and their ability to read a number plate at the statutory distance of 17.5 metres with the use of glasses or contact lenses if appropriate on the first lesson.

All bookings are made on the understanding that the School is not responsible for the postponement of training due to traffic conditions, adverse weather conditions, illness or mechanical breakdown. Drivesafe School of Motoring cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred as a result of the postponement of any lessons, for whatever reason.

A pupil may be refused entry into the driving school vehicle if they are wearing soiled clothing or muddy work boots and the lesson will still be charged for at the full amount.

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure when attending for the practical driving test, the client has all the necessary documentation to enable them to take the test.

If a pupil has entered for a driving test and does not keep up to date with their lessons prior to the test, or if in the opinion of the Instructor the pupil is not safe to proceed with the test, the Instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of the tuition vehicle for the driving test. In which case the Instructor will not be liable for any loss of test fees.

Provided the pupil is in possession of a valid driving license and is accompanied by, or under the direction of a Driving Standards Agency A.D.I / P.D.I or approved DSA Examiner, all Driveseafe School of Motoring cars are fully insured for tuition and driving tests.

The instructor must be notified of the date and time of a driving test self booked by the pupil at least 10 working days before the test date.
All Drivesafe School of Motoring Clients are bound by these terms and conditions.
Driving Lesson Voucher terms & conditions

Any Block booking vouchers can only be used in association with Drivesafe School of Motoring. Vouchers can only be used once, and must be surrendered at the time of your first lesson. Copies will not be accepted.

Any Block booking vouchers offer a discount on services provided therefore are non-refundable in part, or whole.

Drivesafe lesson vouchers are NOT valid indefinitely, they must be used by the date on the voucher.

To use the voucher the bearer must hold a valid UK provisional license (or a valid International license that enables the bearer to take lessons in the UK), and this license must be presented at the time of the first lesson.

A voucher does not guarantee that Drivesafe School of Motoring will accept the bearer as a pupil.
In purchasing or possessing an Drivesafe School of Motoring lesson voucher(s) you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Payments & Cancellation

Tuition fees are normally payable in advance. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or card. Any cheques offered for payment that are subsequently refused by the bank will be subject to an administration charge of £15.00.

Your instructor will do everything possible to ensure that your lessons start and finish on time, but reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change lesson lengths and start/finish times under certain circumstances. In the event of postponement fees paid in advance will be carried forward.

The instructor reserves the right to cancel a lesson at short notice if it is suspected that the pupil may be unfit due to the effects of alcohol, drugs (prescribed or otherwise) or any other condition that would cause his/her driving to be dangerous or illegal. In such circumstances the lesson fee will be payable.

The pupil will give the Instructor a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or change a lesson for no charge to occur, otherwise the lesson fee will be payable. If you fail to turn up for an appointment (your instructor will wait at the agreed pickup point for 10 minutes only) and no cancellation notice was provided by you to the Instructor before the start of the lesson then the full charge of the lesson will be payable. If any lessons paid for in advance or with vouchers are cancelled within 24 hours, then the full amount of a lesson will be charged.

All lessons are booked with the full intention of them being delivered by your Instructor, however, in the unlikely event that it becomes necessary for us to cancel a lesson, we will endeavour to provide you with as much notice as possible and we will always seek to offer you an alternative time or date that is suitable for you.

If you have prepaid a block of lessons or an Intensive Course, and you have not taken any lesson(s) Drivesafe SOM requires 14 days notice of cancellation in order for you to receive a full refund.

Should you give less than 14 days notice, but more than 7 days notice, then 50% of the fee paid will be refunded to you. In the event that you have started your lessons and/or give less than 7 days notice of cancellation, then your course fee will NOT be refunded

If You are entitled to any refund, You will be required to pay an administration charge of £30 to process the refund (the “Refund Charge”). The Refund Charge will be deducted from each refund that is paid back to You.

Refunds may take up to 28 working days to reach You or Your account.

We reserve the right to change the price of all Our learner driver products including all Lessons, at any time

Special Offers are at the discretion of the Instructor and may change without prior notice

Ten hours pre-paid plus two free lessons – these two lessons are a loyalty bonus and can only be used on the day of test.
All terms of business are correct at time of printing. Drivesafe School of Motoring reserves the right to make changes to the terms of business without prior notice.
